While we all take risks in our life, ditching the brick and mortar world to open an online business is probably going to be on the top of that list.  As there are many positives and negatives about each, having an online business can be quite rewarding.  From becoming your own boss, entering the virtual world to being able to create your own schedule to fit your everyday life.  A lot of discipline, hard work, and many long nights while you start your coffee maker for the 3rd time in 24 hours.

Creating a “Warm Welcome” to your potential clients is critical in your online business startup.  Compared to the brick and mortar, which is able to create an appealing atmosphere, online business gets only one shot; one look, that will make or break their first impression.  Once they are there, you need to give them a reason to stay and do it immediately.  As of January 2015, there are 876 million website names in the world today.  So, that warm welcome – it is crucial.  Your website is the face of your brand and product and it needs to paint a clear picture of this.

Don’t wait too long to launch.
Over many conversations with other online business owners, getting stuck in the “content hamster wheel” seems to always come about. Easily caught up in, you don’t want to find yourself months or even years down the road without even offering your product.
There are a couple of reasons why this happens, waiting for that magical audience size, backing out of creating because of fear, or just trouble finding enough time to put forward the idea…
Whatever the reasoning, it’s a trap. If you are building a business, first thing you need to do is address the biggest risk head on. If at first it doesn’t succeed, that’s okay. Every business owner needs practice at building and launching products. Your first might not be all that great, but the sooner you put something out there, the closer you are to sustainable revenue.
